Privacy Policy — PrevenTab

1. Introduction

PrevenTab ("we", "us", or "the App") is an iOS mobile application that helps users track blood pressure readings, glucose levels, weight, and related health notes. Your privacy and the security of your health data are important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information PrevenTab collects, how it is stored and handled, and your choices.

2. Summary (short)

• PrevenTab stores all user-provided health data locally on your device only.
• We do not collect, transmit, or store your health data on our servers.
• No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking is performed by default.
• You control deletion of your data from the app/device.

3. Information We Collect

a. Data You Enter: Readings and notes you enter into PrevenTab (blood pressure, glucose, weight, timestamps, optional notes).

b. Device Data: Basic device identifiers as required by iOS for app installation and functionality (only as provided by the operating system). We do not record or store personal device identifiers on our servers (since we operate offline).

c. Optional Metadata: If you enable optional integrations (see Section 6), minimal metadata required for that integration may be accessed with your explicit permission.

4. How Data Is Stored

All health data you enter is stored locally on your iOS device (in the app's local storage). PrevenTab does not transmit, upload, or back up your health data to our servers. There are exceptions you should be aware of (see Section 5).

5. Device Backups and iCloud / System Backups

• iCloud Backups / iCloud Drive: If you back up your device to iCloud, app data may be included in that backup and thus stored in your iCloud account.
• Local Computer Backups: Backups to a computer (via Finder/iTunes) may include app data.

If you do not want your PrevenTab data to be included in cloud or device backups, disable iCloud backups for the app or exclude device backups per Apple's settings. PrevenTab cannot control backup settings on your device.

6. Third-Party Services and Analytics

By default, PrevenTab does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or external trackers that transmit your health data off-device. If we add optional features that rely on third parties in the future (for example, customer support tools or diagnostic reporting), we will disclose them and obtain consent before enabling them.

7. How We Use Your Data

Because data remains on your device, PrevenTab uses your data only to provide the app features (displaying trends, generating reminders, charts, in-app summaries, etc.). We do not use your health data for research, advertising, or marketing unless you explicitly opt in and give informed consent.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

• Retention: Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• In-App Deletion: Use the app's delete functions (e.g., delete readings or "clear all data") to remove data.
• Uninstalling: Uninstalling the app typically removes app data from the device. However, data included in device backups may persist in backups unless you remove those backups.

9. Security

We implement reasonable on-device security practices (such as encrypted local storage where possible and recommended secure API usage) to protect data stored in the app. However, no method of storage or transmission over a public network is 100% secure. You should secure your device (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, device encryption) to reduce risk of unauthorized access.

10. Children

PrevenTab is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under the applicable age has used the app and provided personal data, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes materially affect how we handle your local data (for example, adding cloud sync), we will notify you in-app and request explicit consent before enabling the new behavior.
